Home is listed on the National Historic Register, built in 1844 by Mr. Benjamin Willingham. During the War of Northern Aggression, Brig. General Judson Kilpatrick, a member of General William T. Sherman's staff, spared the house because of its use as a hospital for Union troops as they passed through the area.

The property, consisting of approximately 52 acres, has a 7,000 sq. ft. main house, 10,000 sq. ft. barn, two fishing ponds with boat house and pavilion, as well as five wood fenced paddocks planted with Coastal Bermuda that together are approximately 8 acres.
